According to the BBC, the shortened halves was suggested by Taylor to ‘combat player fatigue’ due to Premier League clubs needing to play so many games in a short space of time.

However, following the suggestion being relayed to social media (via @NathanJudah), supporters continued airing their disapproval for the idea.

As can be seen in the responses from Wolves supporters, they hate the suggestion that the Premier League may return to action with halves shorter than 45 minutes.

However, Taylor’s idea is merely a suggestion, and the Premier League have stated that the suggestion of under-45 minute halves is “not on the table” (per BBC).
