In hindsight, do you wish that the Hammers had never signed Carlos Tevez?Yes, it was a mistakeNo, he was worth it |
The now-Boca Juniors frontman signed for the Hammers alongside Javier Mascherano from Corinthians in the summer of 2006 for a fee of £13.14 million (per Transfermarkt).
Tevez would go on to make 29 appearances for the Hammers in which he scored seven goals and bagged five assists (per Transfermarkt) before he departed for Manchester United on loan (per Transfermarkt).

What do we think?
As can be judged from the responses of the London Stadium faithful, it is clear to see that they were delighted with the signing of Tevez at the time and were in disbelief about it.
However, West Ham fans can be forgiven for their disbelief as the club’s manager at the time Alan Pardew and the playing squad seemingly could not believe it either (per The Guardian).
