Spurs fans on Twitter have flocked to a tweet from Harry Kane after he shared his excitement for football’s imminent return.
The 26-year-old shared a photo of himself looking overjoyed in training at Hotspur Way, with the caption: “Football is back soon” which has delighted a lot of Spurs fans on Twitter. It was confirmed earlier in the week by Jose Mourinho that the England captain is back fit and will be ready for the Premier League’s restart next month.
Before his hamstring injury in January, the academy graduate had been in sensational form for the North London club, having averaged a superb 7.30 rating for his performances in the Premier League, contributing 11 goals and two assists in 20 appearances in the top-flight (per WhoScored).

The striker expressed concerns earlier in the lockdown period that if the Premier League couldn’t be completed by the end of June then it should be voided, however, he is clearly excited to have it back.

Although the majority of Spurs fans seem happy that football is making a return, some still expressed concerns.

Who cares Harry? Too many people are dying. I love football but at this time it’s insignificant.

Kane certainly seems excited for football to be back and hopefully, for Spurs fans, he can help push the Lilywhites back up the Premier League table in their remaining fixtures.
