Spurs fans on Twitter have been reacting to the latest transfer rumour linking their club with a move for Roma winger Nicolo Zaniolo.
According to Italian news outlet Leggo (via TranSPURS), the North London club have been ‘pressing for months’ to sign the 20-year-old, although they could face competition from Juventus and Manchester United. So far this season, the winger has averaged a solid 6.91 rating across his 18 appearances in Serie A, having contributed four goals and one assist (per WhoScored).
The youngster is currently valued at £40.5 million by Transfermarkt, so it could prove to be a very expensive transfer for Spurs, but the report from Leggo suggests that Roma’s finances are not in the best state currently, which could potentially lead to them selling the Italian at a cut-price deal.
Should Spurs bid for Zaniolo this summer?

What do we think?
Zaniolo recently suffered a cruciate ligament rupture that could keep him out for the significant future and with his value so high, it is difficult to see Spurs making an offer for him this summer, especially in the current financial market.
