Spurs fans on Twitter have been reacting to some quotes from their former striker Teddy Sheringham regarding Harry Kane.
The 54-year-old spoke to Sky Sports about the England captain, saying: “Kane has got to weigh up his situation and whether he wants to leave. Is there going to be top players coming to Tottenham to play with him, or is he going to have to go elsewhere to play with top players?”
The Spurs Web subsequently shared these quotes with fellow Lilywhites supporters on Twitter, many of whom were quick to have their say on the former striker’s remarks.
Do you agree with Sheringham?

He’s loyal, unlike you Teddy.

Harsh, back then, unfortunately Utd were a class apart from us. Nowadays this isn’t the case. I think Teddy could probably justify leaving. We didn’t quibble when he left Forest to come to us did we

Not much has changed since Teddy left us. He had to leave to win trophies too.

I’ll let him leave, if we fail to win something next season.

There seems to be a split between Spurs fans agreeing with Sheringham and others who criticise the 54-year-old for his comments.
What do we think?
Kane has been linked with a move to Manchester United in the past, and Sheringham seems to be perhaps encouraging the 26-year-old to move away from Spurs if they don’t show ambition with their signings. Sheringham himself completed a move to United from Spurs back in 1997, so, perhaps we could see Kane do the same.
