Spurs fans on Twitter have been discussing the latest transfer rumour regarding Tanguy Ndombele, which suggests that Liverpool are interested in signing him ahead of next season.
According to French news outlet Foot Mercato (via Talking THFC), Jurgen Klopp’s side are interested in signing the former Lyon man on loan this summer, with the German manager also having been keen on him last summer. Spurs signed the 23-year-old in a club-record deal in July, but his first season in the Premier League has not exactly gone to plan, with the Frenchman having featured just 19 times in the top flight, averaging an underwhelming 6.76 rating (per WhoScored).
The midfielder has regularly struggled with fitness issues, which have led to him completing 90 minutes just five times in all competitions this season, so it is perhaps a surprise to see the current Premier League leaders reportedly taking an interest in him.

These Spurs fans clearly seem to think that the only way Ndombele should be allowed to join Liverpool this summer is for a ridiculous amount of money, or in a swap deal for some of Liverpool’s first-team regulars.
What do we think?
It would certainly be a surprise to see the £46.8 million-rated man join Liverpool, especially on loan, as the North London club will surely be eager to utilise a player who is their club-record signing more next season, provided that he can improve his fitness.
