Spurs fans on Twitter have been discussing Hellas Verona defender Marash Kumbulla after it was suggested that the North London club were looking at him as a potential long-term replacement for Jan Vertonghen.
According to Gazzetta dello Sport, as per Sport Witness, Tottenham have reached out to the Serie A side about the centre-back’s availability ahead of the summer transfer window. Vertonghen’s contract with the Lilywhites is set to expire in June, so it is no surprise to see Jose Mourinho’s side being linked with a replacement such as Kumbulla.
So far this season, the 20-year-old has averaged a solid 6.82 rating for his performances in Serie A and has helped Hellas Verona to eighth position in the Italian top flight. The Albanian is currently valued at £20.25 million by Transfermarkt, suggesting that it could be an expensive deal for the North London club should they make a move for him this summer.
Would Kumbulla be a good replacement for Vertonghen?

These Spurs fans seem to agree that Kumbulla could be a good signing this summer.
What do we think?
Kumbulla has enjoyed a decent season in Serie A and is just 20 years old, so certainly looks as if he could be a long-term replacement for Vertonghen this summer.
