Fans of Tottenham have been reacting to a post on Twitter, which relays an article in which Alasdair Gold suggests potential signings for the club this summer.
In Gold’s Football.london article, he suggests a number of players, both at Spurs and away from the club, that could potentially take the vacant number nine shirt at Tottenham next season, including LOSC Lille centre-forward Victor Osimhen.
In reaction to the article, which was relayed by Gold on Twitter, fans of Spurs have flocked to have their say on the matter, with many suggesting that the signing of Osimhen would be a dream, while others have claimed that the 21-year-old Nigerian forward should be the club’s number one priority this summer.
Would you like to see Spurs make a move for Victor Osimhen this summer?
Yes
No
With the number 9 shirt currently vacant at Spurs, here are seven candidates I'm putting forward to take ownership of it in the months ahead. Some are admittedly more realistic than others. https://t.co/Pc3fsvEYRO

Victor is the only striker I want is to go for and buy. In fact he should be our number 1 priority. Defensive midfielder, and a whole new defense after that!

What do we think?
Since arriving at Lille from RSC Charleroi for a fee of £10.8 million last summer, Osimhen has been in remarkable form for the club, scoring 13 goals and providing four assists over his 27 Ligue 1 appearances, while averaging an impressive WhoScored match rating of 7.14.
In addition to this, the centre-forward has also scored two goals in five Champions League appearances this season.
As such, it is no wonder why many of these Spurs fans agree with Gold that the £24.3 million-rated Osimhen would be a great candidate to take the club’s number nine shirt next season.
