Spurs fans on Twitter have been reacting to a post from former winger Gareth Bale, after he shared his goal against Liverpool in the 2018 Champions League final.

The Welsh international shared a video of his superb overhead-kick goal in the Champions League final from two seasons ago when Real Madrid secured the trophy with a 3-1 win against Jurgen Klopp’s side. Spurs fans have subsequently flooded the 30-year-old’s replies, with some Lilywhites supporters urging him to return to North London.

How well do you remember Heung-Min Son's time with Spurs? - The Lilywhites signed Son from which Bundesliga side?

Spurs signed the winger from Southampton in 2007 and he went on to make 203 appearances for the Lilywhites, contributing 56 goals and 58 assists (per Transfermarkt) before completing a world-record move to Real Madrid in 2013.

This fan made reference to Bale’s relationship with the Madridistas, with the Welshman perhaps risking criticism from supporters following the banner he unveiled after Wales’ qualification for Euro 2020 last November.

These Spurs fans were quick to praise Bale’s goal from the Champions League final and we’re sure that a lot of Lilywhites supporters would love to see him back at the club one day.
