A lot of Newcastle United fans have replied to a tweet from NUFC 360, which has included a link to a piece by The Shields Gazette on the proposed takeover of the Toon.
The report from Miles Starforth does not cite any other sources but claims that the buying side had hoped for the Premier League to give their approval a week ago.
Still, objections from beIN Sports and Amnesty International have added another week on.
However, the piece claims that there is ‘optimism’ on the buying side that the takeover will finally be approved next week.
Do you trust this report?
Yes
No
However, this has not gone down well with these Toon fans who aren’t convinced by this update.
#NUFC’s takeover is expected to finally be given the go-ahead by the Premier League next week. https://t.co/ho19YJuBTS

What do we think?
Though this piece does not cite any other sources, it does sound similar to the report that was posted on the House of Saud site – that some Toon fans have raised concerns over, which may suggest that the fanbase is growing tired of hearing things with no tangible progress to speak of while the process to finalise the takeover continues.
However, Craig Hope provided an update, and he claimed that the Premier League’s decision on the deal could be delayed until next week.
So, we could finally we will have some sort of announcement on this proposed takeover soon.
