Fans of Newcastle have been reacting to a post on Twitter, which relays an article regarding the latest in Newcastle’s proposed takeover.
The Chronicle’s Twitter account shared an article by the Chronicle’s Lee Ryder which states that there have been no red flags in the top-flight’s owners’ and directors’ test so far, meaning that the takeover remains on course for approval.
In reaction to the post, fans of Newcastle have flocked to have their say on the matter, with many suggesting that they are concerned about just how long the deal is taking to get the green light from the Premier League.

The reason it is taking so long is a) We’re on lockdown. b) There isn’t just one owners test to do, there is 3 of them! #Patience #NUFC #NUFCTakeover #cans

What do we think?
As one Newcastle fan correctly points out, the current lockdown circumstances the country finds itself in may well have had an impact on the speed in which the takeover could be completed, however, according to the report, there are currently no obstructions to the deal’s progression.
Despite this, it is understandable why so many of the Newcastle fans are feeling slightly anxious as to whether or not the deal will actually receive approval from the Premier League, amid BeIN’s request that the deal is blocked because of television piracy accusations against the Saudi Arabian state.
