A lot of Newcastle United fans have replied to a tweet from Tatiana Siegel, the executive film editor for The Hollywood Reporter.
She claims that PIF ‘remains interested in the entertainment and sports sector’ and ‘is close to completing’ a deal for Newcastle United. She claims that Carla DiBello ‘spearheaded’ that deal.
The article also claims that PIF intends to invest in Warner Music Group.
However, it is the update on Newcastle that has got these Toon fans talking.
Do you think this means anything?
Yes, it is getting closer

What do we think?
It is interesting that DiBello is mentioned as her name has hardly appeared in connection with the proposed takeover since reports emerged in February.
While PIF reportedly intends to invest in other areas, it seems that the deal to gain control of Newcastle is close to completion.
The deal for Newcastle to be sold by Mike Ashley will see a consortium of PIF, Amanda Staveley’s PCP, and the Reuben brothers take charge at St. James’ Park.
The deal is currently with the Premier League awaiting the green light, but the buying side remains ‘overwhelmingly positive’ that the deal will be accepted.
