Fans of Manchester City have been reacting to a post on Twitter, which relays reports regarding the creation of an artificial atmosphere during Premier League matches.
According to the Daily Mail, Manchester City, Liverpool and Arsenal have held talks with a German technology company which has developed an app that will allow supporters to generate noise within a stadium, which could be implemented in the event that the Premier League restarts games behind closed doors.
In reaction to the reports, which were relayed on Twitter by Man City Xtra, fans of the club have flocked to have their say on the matter, with many questioning whether the reports are serious, while others have begged City not to go through with the idea.

What do we think?
The idea behind the app is to ensure that home advantage remains in empty stadiums, should the Premier League decide to resume the 2019/20 season behind closed doors, with Greg Clarke recently stating that he believes it is hard to see fans returning to matches “any time soon“.
However, it would appear that City fans do not like the sound of an artificial atmosphere being created at the Etihad (or wherever City would be playing their ‘home’ games), and we can understand why, as the whole concept feels a far cry from what we are used to experiencing in football stadiums.
