Liverpool fans on Twitter have been calling for Georginio Wijnaldum to sign a new contract at the Merseyside club.
This comes after Liverpool fan Twitter account @AnfieldWatch shared a post on their page asking their followers if they would like to see Wijnaldum receive a new contract at the club.
This post then gathered a lot of replies from Liverpool fans who were quick to share their thoughts on the matter.

The 29-year-old’s current contract at the club runs out at the end of June 2021. Since signing to the Merseyside club back in 2016, Wijnaldum has gone on to make 177 appearances for the Reds, scoring 18 goals and providing 16 assists along the way (per Transfermarkt). The Dutchman played a crucial part in Liverpool’s 4-0 Champions League comeback victory over Barcelona back in 2019 in which he scored two goals coming off the bench (per Transfermarkt). Now that the question has been put to these Liverpool fans on whether or not they think Wijnaldum should sign a new contract, this sparked a big reaction on Twitter.
