A lot of Leeds United fans have replied to a tweet from Phil Hay that includes a link to the EFL’s Team of the Decade.
The side includes the like of Matt Ritchie, Peter Whittingham, Billy Sharp, and Anthony Knockaert.
However, to these Leeds fans, it seems like there is one name missing, and that is the inclusion of Ruben Neves after his one year in the Championship with Wolverhampton Wanderers.
Hay even said in reply to one fan that it is hard to leave Neves out, but the 23-year-old does not make the EFL’s Team of the Decade, which has baffled these Whites fans.
Do you think Neves deserves a spot in the EFL Team of the Decade?
Yes, he was brilliant
No, I agree with the side picked
This is a tough debate. I’m a Deeney fan so would have got him in there. Also, best season I’ve seen from a right-back in the Championship was Trippier at Burnley https://t.co/HRIzDL4Z7k

Dunno how Neves isn’t in there.
Best quality player I’ve seen in championship…was clearly way below his level (and of course only joined wolves due to the dodgy agent link up)

Tricky one Phil because of the amount of players that have been sensational in this league for a season, such as Neves and Taarabt. Do they get the vote over the battle hardened players such as Hoolahan?

Ruben Neves Phil ?

Straight off top of my head Neves and Pablo Hernandez walk into that team TBF.

What do we think?
Neves moved to Wolves from FC Porto for £16.11m in the summer of 2017, and he went on to feature in 42 matches in the Championship and earned an average rating of 7.2.
As well as this, he scored six goals and provided one assist and featured in 28 wins for Wolves.
He also scored a wonder goal against Derby County (2:50), so it is no surprise that these Leeds fans feel Neves deserves a place in this side.
