Lyon midfielder Houssem Aouar is a player Liverpool are interested in, according to the Mirror. however, due to the current health crisis, it appears unlikely they will be able to do a deal for the 21-year-old.
The French Under-21 international is currently valued at £44.55m, according to Transfermarkt.co.uk. The midfielder has made 25 appearances in Ligue 1 so far this season, scoring three goals and providing three assists.
Here is how some of the Anfield faithful have responded to the update.
Lol. 8 million spent in 3 windows, Nike deal, stadium expansion on hold, on field success worth millions and fringe/loan players to be sold off. We are not skint stop lying ?

Fairly sure Maddock is the only person who has ever linked this lad to the club.

What do we think?
It’s clear from the above responses that these Liverpool fans aren’t buying what the Mirror’s David Maddock has had to say regarding the Lyon star’s future.
Aouar has now made 133 appearances for the French giants, scoring a total of 24 goals and providing 24 assists (via Transfermarkt.co.uk) – so it is not that surprising to see a club like Liverpool linked with the exciting 21-year-old.
However, it’s unclear what impact the current health crisis will have on the upcoming transfer window and whether or not the player will move on from his current club.
