The 24-year-old has been RB Leipzig’s standout performer this season, with an average performance rating of 7.58/10 according to WhoScored.com. He has scored an impressive 21 goals and contributed seven assists in just 25 Bundesliga appearances this term (via Transfermarkt.co.uk).

What do we think?
Based on the above responses, it’s clear many of these Liverpool fans would love to see Werner arrive on Merseyside to join forces with Sadio Mane, Mohamed Salah and Roberto Firmino. There were others, however, to whom the update came as no surprise, but it appears they remain unconvinced their club are willing to pay the price the Bundesliga outfit are asking to part ways with their star man.
