A group of Liverpool supporters have been discussing a post from @TheImmortalKop on Twitter regarding Timo Werner. The German international striker is being heavily linked with a move away from RB Leipzig this summer and is said to be keen on a move to the Premier League, despite Bayern Munich showing some interest.
Here is how some of the Anfield faithful have responded to the post, which stresses the club ‘can’t mess up’ a deal for the 24-year-old.
Because the transfer market is crashing due to the virus, no point in jumping the gun when we could get a way getter deal when things have calmed down.

Liverpool are waiting on the decision of league extension or cancellation. Once that is made, we’ll get a verdict on Werner

What do we think?
Werner has been in fine form this season. He has scored 21 goals and provided seven assists in 25 Bundesliga appearances so far this season (via Transfermarkt.co.uk). His average performance rating in the German top flight currently stands at 7.58/10 according to WhoScored.com – highlighting just how consistent he is.
It’s clear from the above responses that some of these Liverpool fans have grown impatient regarding the lack of movement, however, there are others who appear to be more understanding of the current climate and that the public health crisis is likely to have an impact on the summer transfer window.
