Liverpool fans on Twitter have been responding to the latest transfer update surrounding RB Leipzig striker Timo Werner.
This comes after Liverpool-focused Twitter account @AnfieldEdition shared a post on their page relaying news originally published in a report by Le10Sport.
The report claims that Jurgen Klopp has become “personally involved” in trying to persuade Werner to move to Liverpool, calling him “several times” to explain his project and sell a switch to Anfield.
This post then gathered a lot of replies from Liverpool fans, who were quick to share their thoughts on this latest update.
Here’s a sample of Liverpool fans responding to the post:

If we can parade him and the premier league trophy , that would make 2020 a little better for me

Why would he need to explain the project. Results now speak for themselves ?

Don’t think he needs much persuading to join

Will Timo Werner be a Liverpool player next season?
Yes
No
The 24-year-old has been in sparkling form this season, having managed to score 27 goals in 37 appearances for Leipzig so far this campaign (per Transfermarkt). Now that it has been reported that Klopp has been in touch with Werner, who is currently valued at £57.6 million according to Transfermarkt, over a possible move to Liverpool, this sparked a big reaction on Twitter.
That’s him signed then…

What do we think?
If this report is true and Klopp has been in contact with Werner over a potential transfer move to Merseyside this summer, then this is a big sign of intent from the club that they want the striker.
