Liverpool fans on Twitter have been responding to the latest transfer news surrounding RB Leipzig striker Timo Werner.
This comes after football journalist David Maddock shared a post on his official Twitter page revealing that the Merseyside club “refuse” to pay Werner’s £50 million release clause and will “turn their back” on the deal unless the price is dropped dramatically.
This post then gathered a lot of replies from Liverpool fans who were quick to share their reactions to this latest development.
Here’s a sample of Liverpool fans responding to the post:
Liverpool refuse to pay £50m Timo Werner release clause, and turn their back on deal completely unless price is dropped dramatically #LFC ???

Should Liverpool try and work out a lower fee for Werner or just pay the money?
Try and get him cheaper
Just pay the money and get him ASAP
The 24-year-old has been in fantastic form this season having scored 30 goals and has provided 12 assists in 39 appearances for the Bundesliga side so far this campaign (per Transfermarkt).
Pay the money, absolutely ridiculous if we don’t.

This impressive goalscoring record from the striker could be the main reason why Liverpool are trying to work out a deal over a potential summer transfer for Werner.
refuse to believe this ?

Now that it has been reported that the Reds could potentially walk away from this deal unless Werner’s release clause fee is lowered, this news didn’t go down too well with these Liverpool fans who were not shy in letting their feelings on the matter known.
If the club want to mess about in the transfer market and risk losing these kind of players to rival clubs, then it’s only going to end in tears. Utd will splashing 100s of millions this summer to try and catch up. We need to be careful here.

What do we think?
It seems that these Liverpool fans aren’t happy with the fact that the Merseyside club are reportedly willing to turn their back on any potential deal for Werner unless his release clause figure is dropped.
