A group of Liverpool supporters have been discussing some footage of Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain in training, which was originally posted by the club’s official Twitter account. It described the 26-year-old as ‘looking sharp’.
Oxlade-Chamberlain signed for the Reds in August 2017 from Arsenal in a deal reportedly worth £34.2m (via Transfermarkt.co.uk). Since his arrival on Merseyside, he has made 78 appearances for Jurgen Klopp’s men, scoring 12 goals and providing nine assists.
21 of those appearances have been in the Premier League this season, however, starts for the midfielder in the English top flight have been hard to come by – he has been named in the starting eleven just 45% of the time since the start of the 2019/20 campaign.

What do we think?
It’s clear from the above responses that these Liverpool supporters were thrilled to see Oxlade-Chamberlain looking so sharp in training. You could argue that injuries – particularly the cruciate ligament rupture he suffered in April 2018 – have prevented him fulfilling his potential at Liverpool but hopefully for Jurgen Klopp and the fans, those troubles are behind him.
