A group of Liverpool supporters have been discussing Dejan Lovren’s recent Twitter post. The Croatian defender was responding to his teammate Mohamed Salah’s tweet and shared an image of what appears to be the Egyptian driving a car with a cracked windscreen.
30-year-old Lovren has been limited to just nine appearances in the Premier League this season, playing just 29% of the club’s total league minutes (via Transfermarkt.co.uk). He’s currently valued at £14.4m and his future on Merseyside is in doubt given he has made no secret of the fact he wanted to leave last summer.
Here is how some of the Anfield faithful have been responding to the former Southampton defender’s post.
Leave him alone ?

Dejan is trying to take on @JamesMilner to see who is the banter king of @LFC. I’m looking forward to seeing who wins. pic.twitter.com/4bzHC9wsNz

What do we think?
It’s clear that Dejan Lovren’s tweets have had quite the impression on the Liverpool fanbase, with one fan suggesting he was looking to rival James Milner as the ‘banter king’ at Anfield. However, another took the opportunity to take a swipe at the Croatian by saying the damage on Salah’s car was the result of one of Lovren’s shots.
