Liverpool fans on Twitter have been responding to recently posted footage of Reds midfielder Adam Lallana.
This comes after Liverpool fan Twitter account @lfcdan shared a post on their page that contained footage, originally posted by @Martinelli_35, of Lallana grabbing Tottenham Hotspur youngster George Marsh by the neck during a U23 match back in 2018.
This post then gathered a lot of replies from Liverpool fans who were quick to share their thoughts on Lallana and his violent antics during this U23 match.
Here’s a sample of Liverpool fans responding to the post:

Did Lallana overreact in this match?
Yes
No
The footage shows Lallana lunging at Marsh and grabbing the Spurs player by the neck in a rather dangerous manner. The Liverpool man was given a red card for his violent actions after reacting angrily to an aerial challenge in the match (per BBC Sport). Now that this footage has been doing the rounds on Twitter once again, this sparked a big reaction from Liverpool fans on Twitter.

What do we think?
To grab an U23 player by the neck after reacting badly to a standard aerial challenge really doesn’t look good for Lallana, and it would certainly seem as if some of these Liverpool fans believed that Lallana’s actions that day were extremely immature.
