Liverpool fans on Twitter have been responding to the latest post from James Pearce.
This comes after the Reds journalist shared a post on his official Twitter page that contained an article he wrote for The Athletic.
The article covers how the current global pandemic has impacted the club’s finances and what it means for the club’s summer transfer plans.
This post then gathered a lot of replies from Liverpool fans who were eager on having their say on the matter.
Here’s a sample of Liverpool fans responding to the post:

Excuses excuses excuses. Didn’t spend a dime last year, been in 2 CL finals and they have no money. Pathetic.

Spent 2M last summer. Got the Nike sponsor. Still are in need of money? Typical.

Would you be happy if Liverpool didn't make any signings this summer?
Yes, we don't need anyone in
No, we need to buy players
In his article, Pearce revealed that “senior Anfield sources insist Liverpool are unlikely to make any major signings this summer. They point to the huge financial impact of the crisis and the fact that as things stand they don’t even know either when the transfer window will open or when next season will start.”
Now that this news has been shared on Twitter, this paved the way for lots of Liverpool fans to share their disappointment.
Yea I’m done with FSG. We are finished as a top club when Klopp leaves if FSG are still our owners.

They have to spend this summer, no more excuses

Be embarrassing when Everton sign players & we can’t. Then what will the excuses be?

What do we think?
It’s understandable why these Liverpool fans may be a bit peeved that the club may not be able to conduct much transfer business this summer. But with the Reds currently, 25 points ahead at the top of the Premier League table, do they really need to make any big changes to their squad?
