Some supporters of Everton have taken to social media to slate the Toffees’ former defender Phil Neville after being asked to sum him up in one word.
On Sunday, @thetoffees_com asked the Goodison Park faithful to sum up their former full-back in a single word, which led to a number of fans criticising the Englishman.

Would you take a prime Phil Neville back in the Toffees' current squad?Yes, he would be good enoughNo, not quite good enough |
The 43-year-old former defender was situated in Merseyside for eight years, having arrived at Goodison Park from Manchester United in 2005 and retired from playing in 2013 (per Transfermarkt).
Despite making 303 appearances for the Toffees (per Transfermarkt), supporters continued slating the Englishman after the Twitter post from @thetoffees_com.
Thought he was alright but he annoyed me when he purposely scored the own goal to help utd win the title.

What do we think?
As can be seen in the responses from these Everton supporters, it is clear to see that Neville was not thought of favourably by some of the Goodison Park faithful.
However, after making 303 appearances for the club over an eight-year stay in Merseyside (per Transfermarkt), perhaps these fans are being overly harsh on the 43-year-old.
