Supporters of Everton have been reacting to a transfer link which has emerged between the Toffees and Sporting CP midfielder Wendel.
According to Esporte News Mundo, as cited by Sport Witness, Carlo Ancelotti’s side and Napoli are ‘fighting for the signing’ of the Brazilian (via @ToffeeTVEFC), which fans reacted to.

However, while some fans discussed the possible signing, Wendel’s name reminded some of the Goodison Park faithful of the 1992 song ‘Mr. Wendal’ by Arrested Development (via Songfacts).

What do we think?
As can be seen in the responses from the Everton fans who are not reminded of Arrested Development’s song, very few know about the Brazilian, however, fans aren’t totally against his potential arrival at Goodison Park.
Wendel’s respectable 6.94/10 average rating across 19 appearances in the league this season (per WhoScored) may explain why the supporter who knows of the 22-year-old rates him, though.
