Supporters of Everton have been flocking to a Twitter post from Matty Foulds on his impending departure from the club.
Over the weekend, the defender posted to Twitter to announce that he would be leaving the club at the end of the season with ‘good memories’ (per Matty Foulds). This left many Everton fans talking.
After 4 seasons @Everton, I will be leaving the club at the end of the season, achieving 2 league titles and a cup during my time at the blues, I’m leaving with nothing but good memories, I’ve worked with some great lads and staff over the seasons and made some friends for (1/2) pic.twitter.com/tOHyw2Dklc

Should Matty Foulds have been given an opportunity in the first team at some point? No, he wasn't good enoughYes, he was good enough |
The release of the Englishman perhaps does not come as a surprise as the manager of the Under-23s, David Unsworth, told the Liverpool Echo in November that the player “needs to forge a career for himself”.
So, following Foulds’ post to social media on his impending departure from the club (per Matty Foulds), fans continued airing their reactions.

What do we think?
As can be seen in the responses from these Everton fans, there are plenty of supporters who will be sorry to see the left-back leave the club but they were keen to wish him well also.
With the 22-year-old having failed to make a single senior appearance for the Toffees in his time at the club (per Transfermarkt), though, Foulds’ departure is certainly no great surprise.
