A group of Celtic supporters have been discussing the club’s stadium in response to a Twitter post by @tirnaog09. The video captures Celtic Park during a pre-match light show which has sparked much conversation regarding the famous old ground and its atmosphere.
The stadium has been standing on the same spot for more than 100 years (as per Football Scotland) but was in a bad state until Fergus McCann rescued the club from the threat of bankruptcy in 1994. Having redeveloped the site in stages, the Celtic Park of today holds more than 60,000 spectators.
These fans have been remembering the days prior to the rebuild and expressing just how much they’ve missed the place.
Goosebumps every time ?

I remember watching us being beaten 2 1 at home to partick thistle in 92 wondering if we would ever win anything again & our stadium was crumbling , I tell my boy all the time how luck he is he’s known nothing but success while the da’s had to suffer to get us where we are today

What do we think?
It’s clear that those who remember the place prior to McCann’s involvement with the club believe the place is unrecognisable these days. The Hoops have recently been crowned as Scottish champions for the ninth season in a row after the SPFL decided to end the season, as their current period of domestic dominance looks set to continue.
