Supporters of Everton have been discussing the touted interest in Napoli’s Kalidou Koulibaly and whether or not he would be a good signing.
According to Calciomercato, as cited by Sport Witness, the Toffees are ‘ready to submit’ an offer for the Senegalese defender and the player has a ‘special relationship’ with Carlo Ancelotti, which had fans discussing the touted signing (via @ToffeeTVEFC).
However, the report also stated that the 28-year-old is only willing to leave Napoli for a ‘top club’ that can guarantee him European football (via Sport Witness).

Big risk £££££££££££ wages and keeps getting injured . Better off getting Leicester city’s centre half .

Great player but they will want 70 million for him and with the wages he would want plus his age I can’t see us getting him.

Do you believe that there is any possibility of the Toffees signing Kalidou Koulibaly?Yes, anything is possibleNo, not going to happen |
While some supporters felt that there was little chance of getting Koulibaly, others were much more positive and they aired their desire to see the Senegalese defender being brought to Goodison Park.
Be a huge statement tbh and we need to strengthen our defence 100%

Break the bank and give him what he wants, anything. Arguably one of the best centre halves in the world

What do we think?
As can be seen in the responses from Everton supporters, it seems that they would love to see the club sign Koulibaly, however, some doubt the possibility of the move.
The 28-year-old centre-back currently has a market value of £50.4 million and three seasons left on his contract following the conclusion of this term (per Transfermarkt), so, it seems likely that Koulibaly would command a huge transfer fee at the very least.
