Would you be happy to see the Premier League resume on 8th June if the government deemed it safe?Yes, I see no problemNo, it is ridiculous |
According to the report, the proposed timetable will see players return to training on 18th May and works on the basis that the next government announcement about lockdown on 7th May will ease the measures currently in place.
However, after the report on the Premier League’s supposed plans was relayed to social media (via @EvertonNewsFeed), fans continued to air their fury.
Hope it’s not a case of cash over safety.

What do we think?
As can be seen in the responses from Everton supporters, they were furious to read that play in the Premier League may be resumed by the 8th of June.
However, the plan only works on the basis that the government’s lockdown measures are eased in the announcement on 7th May (per The Telegraph), so, it seems that the league will make their decision in keeping with what the government deems is safe.
