Would you be happy if the Toffees signed Nicolas De La Cruz in the next transfer window?Yes, he would be a great signingNo, doesn't seem good enough |
The report went on to state that alongside the Toffees, a ‘powerful German club’ is also interested in the 22-year-old’s services (per Ole), meaning that Everton could face competition for his signature.
However, despite the initial report making no mention of Gylfi Sigurdsson, the fact that De La Cruz’s signing ‘could spell the end‘ of the Icelandic middleman’s time with Everton was another cause for delight.

What do we think?
As can be seen in the responses from these Everton supporters, they are delighted with the touted signing of De La Cruz and even more delighted that he could potentially replace Sigurdsson.
With the Uruguayan midfielder having been River Plate’s second-best performer in the Superliga so far this season with a stellar 7.29/10 average rating (per WhoScored), it is perhaps no surprise that Everton fans are keen on the 22-year-old.
