Aston Villa fans have taken to Twitter to discuss fans of Championship side Leeds United.

This comes after Villa fan Twitter account @VillaViews_ shared a post on their page claiming that someone should tell the Leeds fans that “the season doesn’t end in March. It might also help their own team to remember this each year.”

Who scored Villa's goal in their 1-0 win against Stoke City on the opening day of the 2014/15 Premier League season?

This comes after the page revealed that they have had “quite a few” Leeds fans reply to their recent tweets saying that Villa will be relegated no matter how the current Premier League season is ended.

This post then gathered a lot of replies from Villa fans who were keen on sharing their thoughts on the situation.

Here’s a sample of Villa fans responding to the post:

Will Leeds United be in the Premier League next season?

Yes

Yes

No

No

Marcelo Bielsa’s side is currently top of the Championship table with 71 points (per BBC Sport) whereas Villa are currently occupying a place in the relegation zone in the Premier League table. Now that this post has been shared on Twitter poking fun at Leeds and the way in which they end their seasons, this led to a lot of Villa fans replying with their own jokes at the club.

What do we think?

As of right now, it’s fairly safe for Villa to make fun of Leeds, but if next season starts with Leeds in the Premier League and Villa in the Championship, this would certainly wipe the smile of many Villa fans’ faces.
