Some Sunderland supporters have been discussing George Honeyman in response to a tweet that was recently posted by @BlackCatsHQ asking fans of the club to share whether or not they miss the former Sunderland player.
As per the BBC, Honeyman was Sunderland’s club captain when he left the Stadium of Light last summer to join Hull City. This post from @BlackCatsHQ has drawn a mixed reaction from Sunderland fans.
Some of the Black Cats supporters who have been responding to this post have shared that they do miss Honeyman, however, more Sunderland fans have stated that they don’t miss the player with some stating that they miss Lee Cattermole, who also left the club last summer, more than they miss Honeyman.

What do we think?
It may be fair to say that it seems as though there isn’t a general consensus among these Black Cats fans on whether the club misses Honeyman, who is currently valued at £720k by Transfermarkt. However, considering that only four Sunderland players scored more League One goals than Honeyman scored for the club last season, it may be fair to say that he did play a fairly important role for the Black Cats during his final season at the club.
