No my opinion hasn’t changed because I never disliked him in the first place. Whether or not the things he does are the best things in the world he has the clubs best interest at heart and that’s good enough for me. Especially in comparison to Short.

Yes , he has passion for the club, I hope he stays , and I would bring Charlie back as well.

Yes I think he’s a decent bloke

He took over the club when we were about to go down the pan and out of business as Short would not have kept up bailing the club out . Surely he deserves praise for that from every Sunderland supporter for that?

What do we think?
BBC Sport has also shared some positive words on the Sunderland owner lately, stating that Donald “seems like a genuinely nice guy” in a recent article about the second season of Sunderland’s Netflix show. This article explains that Donald “seems invested” in the club, in addition to stating that he comes across as “a ‘proper football man’”.
Back in December 2019, BBC Sport reported that Donald was “trying to sell the club”. That report also included an alleged statement from ex-Black Cats striker Marco Gabbiadini, who is quoted as saying that ’“it’s really difficult to put your finger on what percentage of the present fanbase want the owner to get out of the club”.
It appears as though some Sunderland fans have warmed to the owner following the documentary’s latest instalment, which may have a positive effect on the atmosphere around the club.
