Sheffield Wednesday goalkeeper Cameron Dawson says there has been an “air of uncertainty” around the club due to their ongoing legal battle with the EFL – according to the Daily Mirror (via Yorkshire Live).
The club faces a misconduct charge in relation to the sale and leaseback of their Hillsborough stadium to the club’s owner Dejphon Chansiri and could face punishments such as a deduction of up to 21 points, a transfer embargo or a substantial fine (as per Yorkshire Live).
Dawson went on to say that the players’ jobs are to put points on the board but understands the fans’ concerns regarding the current situation. How have some of the supporters reacted to his comments on Twitter?
I have an “air of uncertainty” every time I see the ball rolled back to him

Do you believe the legal battle with the EFL is having an impact on the squad?
Yes
No
I’d be surprised if any outfield players are still talking to him

It must have worried him a great deal as he let some absolute howlers in since Chrimbo.

What do we think?
It’s clear from the above responses that not all the Sheffield Wednesday supporters have been particularly impressed by Dawson’s displays this season and they’ve made no secret of their feelings. The goalkeeper’s average performance rating this season currently stands at 6.24/10 according to WhoScored.com, which would suggest the fans have every right to be disappointed.
