A group of Sheffield Wednesday supporters have been discussing Dom Howson’s comments regarding the possibility of Atdhe Nuhiu signing a new contract at Hillsborough. The 30-year-old’s current deal is due to expire at the end of this season, but Howson believes he’s not done enough to warrant being offered an extension.
Nuhiu, who is valued at £360k (Transfermarkt), has made 30 league appearances for the Owls this season, contributing just three goals and three assists (via Transfermarkt.co.uk). Having said that, he has only been a starter in 32% of the club’s league games and so perhaps that explains his inability to find a rhythm and score regularly.
His last league goal came back in January during the win at Leeds United, but how do the supporters feel regarding the Kosovan international and the possibility of him extending his stay?
Please no

He has done nowhere near enough to earn a new contract at #swfc. He should never have been given a new contract in the first place. The fact that fans still want him to stay demonstrates how accepting they are of utter mediocrity

What do we think?
It’s clear from the above responses that these supporters agree it’s time for the club and Nuhiu to part ways. Given his goalscoring record, in our view, it’s difficult to disagree.
