Many of the Wednesday fans who have been responding to this supporter’s tweet have shared some negative opinions regarding Stobbs, with one Owls fan stating that the player “is never going to make it”.
Meanwhile, other Wednesday fans took this opportunity to debate over whether or not 23-year-old Stobbs should be considered a ‘youngster’.

Stubbs has been given a few chances but doesn’t seem to be able to make the step up.

While some Owls fans have been sharing some negative opinions about Stobbs, others shared that they wouldn’t even consider the player to be ‘a youngster’.
Is Stobbs still a youngster?? Been kicking around for what seems like the best part of a decade ??

What do we think?
Considering that he is now 23-years-old, it may be understandable why some Wednesday fans appear to have doubts over whether or not Stobbs is good enough to make it at their club, with the attacker making just six first-team appearances for the Owls thus far in his career, the first of which came back in the 2013/14 campaign.
Stobbs was on loan at Port Vale from August 2017 until January 2018, where he made a total of eight first-team appearances, while he also spent from August 2019 until this past January on loan at Livingston, where he made just four appearances before he had his loan spell hampered by knee problems, as per Transfermarkt.co.uk.
Considering that the 23-year-old has made a total of just 18 first-team appearances for any club thus far in his senior football career, as well as the fact that he has been dealing with some injury issues in recent months, it may be fair to say that Stobbs might not have much more time left at Hillsborough, with his Wednesday contract currently set to expire this summer.
