Ex-Rangers player and current Rangers U18 coach Kevin Thomson recently shared footage of Steven Gerrard attempting his “KTA challenge” on Twitter, which has caught the attention of many Gers supporters.

Thomson recently started a challenge, asking people to attempt one-touch volleys against a wall, whilst alternating feet between each volley. Thomson explained this via a tweet in which he also shared footage of himself completing the challenge.

Thomson spent just over three years at Rangers as a player, joining the club in January 2007 and remaining at Ibrox until July 2010 when he joined Middlesbrough. After retiring from his playing career in August 2016, Thomson has now returned to Rangers where he is currently the assistant manager of the club’s U18 side, according to Transfermarkt.co.uk.

The 35-year-old coach shared appreciation for Gerrard’s attempt at performing his challenge via this recent tweet in which he also declares that there will “not be many” who will outdo the former England captain‘s attempt. This tweet has attracted the attention of many Rangers supporters who have similarly been responding to this footage with praise for Gerrard.

In response to the current viral outbreak, “all domestic professional and grassroots football under the jurisdiction of the Scottish FA” was suspended “until further notice”, as per an announcement that was shared via the SPFL’s official website on the 13th of March

Considering that there are currently no Scottish football matches being played, it may be understandable why some Gers supporters have flocked to this post sharing footage of the club’s manager performing this challenge, which may be providing some football-related entertainment in the current absence of the professional game.
