Fans of Nottingham Forest have been reacting to a post on Twitter, which highlights Matty Cash’s inclusion in WhoScored’s Championship Team of the Season so far.
In the post, which was tweeted by the official Nottingham Forest account, the club highlight that their 22-year-old right back’s WhoScored average match rating of 7.23 is high enough to earn him a place in the website’s Championship Team of the Season so far.
In reaction to the post, fans of Nottingham Forest have flocked to have their say, with many questioning why Forest goalkeeper Brice Samba is not featured in the team.

What do we think?
Unfortunately for Forest fans, WhoScored’s Team of the Season is calculated by taking the average match rating of each individual player which the website awards them at the end of every game.
As such, despite their protestations, their goalkeeper’s average WhoScored match rating of 6.72 does not warrant a place in the current Team of the Season, as Fulham’s Marek Rodak’s rating of 6.78 just pips Samba.
This is not to say that Samba has had a bad season, as since the ‘keeper joined from SM Caen last summer, he has been in incredibly fine form for the Reds, keeping 12 clean sheets and conceding just 34 goals in his 33 Championship appearances.
However, with nine games still remaining this term, the £3.6 million-rated Forest stopper still has plenty of time to challenge Rodak for the coveted place as goalkeeper in the WhoScored Championship best XI.
