In reaction to the post, fans of the club have flocked to have their say on the matter, with many informing the ‘keeper that he is not alone in missing football, while others have simply sent messages of appreciation for Samba’s efforts so far this season.

What do we think?

While many Forest fans appear to have very high opinions of their goalkeeper, from his performances this season it is not difficult to see why.

Samba has made 33 Championship appearances so far this season, keeping 12 clean sheets and conceding 34 goals, while averaging an impressive WhoScored match rating of 6.72.

His performances have helped Forest to climb to fifth place in the Championship table, and with five points separating Forest and seventh-placed Bristol City, Samba and Forest look in good shape to secure a play-off place come the end of the season.
