Rangers have been linked with a move for Liverpool’s Rhian Brewster after his current loan spell with Swansea City ends. The 20-year-old joined the Welsh outfit on loan in January and has made 11 appearances in the Championship so far, contributing four goals (via Transfermarkt.co.uk).
He’s due to return to Anfield in the summer and according to The Athletic’s James Pearce, it is thought that Jurgen Klopp will assess the player during pre-season before deciding on the next steps regarding his development.
Meanwhile, former footballer Noel Whelan recently told Football Insider that current Gers midfielder Ryan Kent could play a role in luring Brewster to Glasgow in the summer.
This is what Rangers fans have made of the prospect of Brewster coming to Ibrox next season:
Dont think he’ll be able to handle the pressure

I like that lad. He’d be a decent loan but can’t see where he would fit in unless Kamberi is going back to Hibs.

Not one of the Liverpool loanees have came up and consistently preformed. Shirts are to big to fill

Would Brewster be a good fit for Rangers?
Yes
No
What do we think?
It’s clear from the above responses that not all of these fans are convinced the young forward has what it takes to lead the line for Rangers. If Steven Gerrard were to be interested, we might assume that his relationship with Liverpool would help at the negotiating table, but with football currently suspended due to the viral outbreak, the summer transfer window still feels a long way away.
