Fans of Leeds United have been reacting to a post on Twitter, which relays comments made by Dean Jones on Liverpool’s alleged interest in Kalvin Phillips.
In a recent Q&A on Bleacher Report, Jones was asked who he thought Liverpool would be interested in this summer, to which he replied: “Outside of [Timo] Werner, they want a midfielder, but it would be more of a squad player like [Todd] Cantwell from Norwich or Kalvin Phillips of Leeds.”
In reaction to his comments, which were relayed by Anfield Edition on Twitter, fans of Leeds flocked to have their say on the matter, with many suggesting the fees that they would like Liverpool to pay, should they want to take Phillips away from Elland Road this summer, while others begged the midfielder not to break their hearts by leaving.
Do you think Leeds will be able to keep hold of Kalvin Phillips this summer?
Yeah
Nope
Liverpool want to sign a midfielder this summer, but it would be a squad player along the lines of Todd Cantwell from Norwich or Kalvin Phillips from Leeds. [@DeanJonesBR] pic.twitter.com/XMy65WZCrC

What do we think?
While some of the Leeds fans appear to be worried about the prospect of Phillips leaving them, unfortunately, the defensive midfielder’s impressive performances will have done nothing to put Premier League sides off him.
So far this season, the 24-year-old has made 31 Championship appearances for Leeds, scoring one goal and providing two assists, while averaging a remarkable WhoScored match rating of 7.20.
As such, it is no wonder why a side like Liverpool are interested in the £10.8 million-rated Phillips.
