Some Charlton Athletic fans have been reminiscing about the club’s former centre-back partnership of Tal Ben Haim and Andre Bikey on social media lately.
One Addicks supporter recently acknowledged these two centre-backs in a tweet, asking fellow Charlton fans who they would take if they could have one back. This post caught the attention of many Charlton fans who have been sharing praise for both former Addicks defenders in response.
Both Bikey and Ben Haim spent just one season at The Valley. Bikey arrived at Charlton on a free transfer in July before leaving a year later, while Ben Haim also spent the 2014/15 season at the club before leaving to join Maccabi Tel Aviv on a free transfer in July 2015.
Despite each playing for Charlton Athletic for just a single season, some Addicks fans have been complimentary about these two defenders on social media lately. Read the posts from some Addicks supporters praising Ben Haim and Bikey in the tweets below.

Unpopular opinion but that CB partnership was the best we’ve had in the last 10 years

Ben-Haim had more quality and a bit more composure so I would take him but not taking anything away from bikey he was a unit a real solid CB

What do we think?
Charlton Athletic finished in 12th place on the Championship table in the 2014/15 season. This is the highest finish that they have achieved in the Championship since they managed to earn a ninth-place finish back in the 2012/13 campaign.
The Addicks also competed in England’s third tier for three seasons from the 2016/17 campaign until they managed to earn promotion back to the Championship following play-off glory in the 2018/19 campaign. Considering that they have failed to hit the heights of their 2014/15 campaign since Bikey and Ben Haim left the club, it may be understandable why some Addicks fans may look back positively on that particular season and their defensive partnership at the time.
