Many Charlton Athletic supporters have been responding to a video shared via the club’s official Twitter account celebrating the career of Yann Kermorgant. The 38-year-old has recently announced his retirement from football having enjoyed a successful career.
The Frenchman signed for the Addicks from Leicester City on a free transfer back in September 2011 (via Transfermarkt.co.uk). During his time at the Valley, he made 96 appearances for the club, scoring 32 goals and providing 15 assists.
Kermorgant eventually moved on in January 2014 to sign for Bournemouth, but this is what the fans have had to say regarding their former striker’s announcement, the news of which was shared by the club’s official Twitter account:

What do we think?
It’s clear that Kermorgant’s time in south-east London is viewed as a success by these supporters. Charlton Athletic currently find themselves in the Championship’s bottom three and face a real possibility of being relegated back to League One. Their top goalscorer this season is Lyle Taylor with 11, followed by Macauley Bonne on eight (as per BBC Sport). Having left The Valley to achieve promotion to the top flight with Bournemouth in 2015, we can safely assume that the supporters would love to see a striker of Kermorgant’s quality lead the line once again.
