Some Celtic fans have been talking about the latest update about football in Sweden that emerged on social media recently.
A Celtic fan recently relayed a news update on Twitter. It is claimed that the Swedish FA is planning to restart their top-division league on the 14th of June – with fans at the stadium.
On reading this piece of information, many Celtic fans were left to discuss this in the context of the Scottish Premiership. Many of them sounded pessimistic.
There’s no hope Paul accept it move on. Only step I can see is premier Celtic champions. No relegation. Top 2 from championship promoted . Possibly 4 relegated next season. Prob get shot down in flames but just one mans opinion.

Should Scotland follow Sweden's example of resuming the season?
Yes, absolutely
No chance
Sweden are doing the opposite of everyone else so don’t get your hopes up whatsoever.

The update from Sweden has said that authorities are only ‘working towards’ resuming the top two leagues in mid-June.
The latest update from the Netherlands has suggested that football will not resume until September later this year. A KNVB board has stated that they intend ‘not to continue playing the 2019-20 season’ (via The Guardian).
What do we think?
While the news from Sweden is certainly encouraging for Celtic fans, there is still no guarantee whether football will really resume in June or not. Things can still change quickly because of the pandemic and since they are only ‘working towards’ resuming football, it seems plans are still at a tentative stage as yet.
Hoops fans should keep in mind that football in Scotland can only resume when things are completely safe. It is time to wait and see how things unfold.
