Some Celtic fans have been discussing a video about Scott Brown that grabbed their attention on Twitter.
Hoops-related page called Lisbon Lion posted a video of Brown recently. The caption talked about the Scotsman being portrayed as a ‘physical player’ and a ‘wind-up merchant’, arguing that ‘the boy can play’ in their post.
On seeing this post, many Celtic fans agreed. They feel that Brown isn’t just a physical player, but he is very good technically too.
Couldn’t agree more. I actually had a chat on here with a fellow Celtic fan who said Brown was a clogger. Astonishing. A few years back Brown had the best passing stats in the Champions League. Anyone who looks past the lazy caricature of Brown knows he’s an excellent footballer.

Brown joined Celtic from Hibernian in the summer of 2007. The Hoops had acquired him despite having reportedly interested the likes of Rangers, Everton and Tottenham (via the Guardian).
What do we think?
This season, Brown has been a regular in midfield for the Hoops. He has made 50 appearances in all competitions, with 29 of them coming in the Premiership. He has also scored five goals in all competitions (via Transfermarkt).
His goalscoring tally suggests that there is arguably more Brown’s game than the physical side. It is therefore understandable why some Celtic fans are in agreement over the idea that he’s more than just a wind-up merchant.
