Some Celtic fans have been talking about the club’s win against Serie A giants AC Milan back in 2007.
A Hoops-related page recently posted a video of Milan facing Celtic at Parkhead in the 2007/08 season on Twitter. The Hoops managed to win the game 2-1.
After seeing this video, many Celtic fans made their opinions known. They remember that night fondly and could only praise the team’s performance back then.
That’s because it was!! ?? Cracking night against a top quality Milan side

Milan were the reigning European Champions at that point, having beaten Liverpool in the final of the 2006/07 season.
The game against Celtic was played in the group stages of the Champions League in the following year. Celtic captain Stephen McManus had scored first for the Hoops. Kaka equalised through a penalty later in the game, but a Dida error saw Scott McDonald win the game for the Hoops.
Their win played a role in taking Celtic to the knockout stages of the competition, where they lost to Barcelona.
What do we think?
Given that the Rossoneri were the European champions back then and had finished fourth in the Serie A in the 2006/07 season, it was a considerable scalp for the Hoops. The comments of the fans show that they do remember that day well and that with the stature of the side they beat in mind, they can continue to look back on this fixture in the years to come.
