Some Celtic fans have been lauding the latest update that the club recently issued on Twitter.
The Hoops released a statement on their official website, highlighting the measures that the club has taken because due to the current pandemic.
They confirmed that the club’s chief executive, manager, non-executive directors, first-team squad, executive team and backroom staff have all taken a pay-cut. This was followed by statements from Peter Lawwell and Neil Lennon.
The club’s Twitter account shared a link to this statement and it got many Celtic fans talking. Many hailed the act from the club.

In the statement, Lawwell said that Celtic are financially ‘strong’ but are not ‘immune’ to the current situation. Lennon went on to thank the NHS and the carers who are helping people out during the pandemic crisis.
What do we think?
The step that the club has taken is a noble one and they deserve praise for it. It seems that these fans are more than happy to give the club credit for the steps they have taken.
