In his career, Pirlo had played seven times against Celtic. Five of those appearances came with Milan, while the other two came with the Old Lady in the 2012/13 Champions League campaign (via Transfermarkt).
What do we think?
As a player, Pirlo won the Scudetto six times, with two of those title wins coming during his time at the San Siro. He also won the UEFA Champions League twice with Milan and won the World Cup with Italy in 2006 (via Transfermarkt).
This shows how Pirlo was a remarkable footballer during his playing days. Judging by the comments of the Celtic fans, they loved the fact that Pirlo graced Parkhead multiple times in his career.
