I still don’t know how Blues didn’t get promoted in 2011/12 with this attack.

Marlon King: 18 goals, 11 assists
Nathan Redmond: 8 goals, 3 assists

What do we think?
Former Republic of Ireland international Hughton only managed the Blues for the 2011/12 season. After originally joining the club in June 2011, he subsequently left the club almost a full year later after failing to achieve promotion to the Premier League having guided the club to a fourth-place finish on the Championship table that term and subsequently getting knocked out of their play-off semi-final tie with Blackpool.
According to Transfermarkt.co.uk, Hughton earned an average of 1.6 points per match during his tenure as Blues boss. This gives him the best points-per-match record out of any of the last 13 Birmingham City managers to have taken charge of at least one game. With that in mind, it may be harsh for some Blues fans to be so critical of Hughton and his season at the club.
